How do you encode your youtube videos? I have been messing around with some stuff lately, and just can't seem to get setting right. The stuff I have done is always too low resolution, with a lot of macro blocking and stuff. Are you using FCP or what? I need some help so I can start putting some stuff up on there.

I have done a coupe youtube videos for a friend that we put up, but I am not completely happy with how they look, and I am going to be doing a few more for another friend who is a talk radio host in Anchorage, and I want those to look really good for her, especially since a lot of people will probably check them out.

also that base unit thing is pretty cool. if I had cable here or a dvr, I would think about getting one just to use on my laptop. But I don't, so I will just stick with DVDs, which as of wednesday I have over 2,400 of.

atom, best thing is to have a 320x340 MPG file... anything else and translation makes it wonky. also make sure your FCP file has no timing markers or whatever, i heard that can skrew things up.
